Edward D. Morrison
 
 

Edward D. Morrison hails from Compton, CA. He graduated from Flavio Beauty College with a degree in Cosmetology. Later, he continued his education at the following academic institutions: International Hair, an academy specializing in wigs, falls and hair extensions; Goldwell Advanced Hair Color, concentrating in color techniques; and UCLA Extension Program, focusing on theatrical and prosthetic make-up.

Earlier in his career, Edward earned the accolade of being named, Long Beach Barber of the Year, by the Long Beach Press Telegram. Furthermore, Mr. Morrison is currently rated a journeyman for Local 706; which is the highest-ranking honor for a hairstylist in the Hollywood industry. Likewise, he was awarded the “Hollywood Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist Guild Award” for his work in Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde.

Mr. Morrison has been the personal hair stylist for award winning artists such as Angela Bassett, Roseanne, Jada-Pinkett-Smith, Iman, Nicole Kidman, Jodi Foster, Kristen Stewart, Matt Damon, just to name a few.  

Edward has currently wrapped the first season of HBO’s hit series, Here and Now. As the Department Head for Hair, Edward worked along side with Oscar winning actress and actor Holly Hunter and Tim Robbins. Edward was hired by creator Alan Ball, creator of True Blood and Six Feet Under, to bring the characters to life through the art of hair.  

Edward’s future vision is to open an academy specializing in theatrical make-up and hair techniques for disenfranchised communities and those seeking experience in the entertainment industry.

In his spare time, Edward enjoys traveling, basketball, interior design and spending time with his dog Grace.
